Our commitment to the community has always been our top priority.
In 2017 we decided to start a nonprofit called Create Vision a 501c3 to help with the disparity we saw in underserved communities.
Our commitment to the community is our top priority.
King Solomon once wrote that “where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:19). That proverb suggests that those who cannot see a better way cannot live fully.
Kids growing up in underserved communities without equal access to opportunities may lack the inspiration and drive to dream big. Create Vision exposes youth to a world of possibilities that inspire them to dream beyond their current reality. We do that by organizing educational tours and other excursions with local nonprofits and schools for underprivileged youth worldwide. The open road becomes their classroom, and we give them a front row seat to explore it.
Who We Are
Create Vision is a 501(c)(3) organization founded by Jacqueline Grice. As the co-owner of Agape Travel and Tours, Jackie frequently transported affluent school children from all over the world on extensive tours of the Washington D.C. area and the Eastern seaboard. She wondered what might happen if economically vulnerable children in her community were given the same opportunity to visit historical sites in the U.S. as their more affluent peers.
This question sparked the idea for Create Vision. Since then, the organization has worked to make educational trips and STEAM tours accessible to children who might otherwise be unable to afford them.
The great Helen Keller once said, “the only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” Our goal at Create Vision is to provide children in need with an opportunity to view the world beyond the boundaries of their community. We believe that by doing so, they will be able to “create a vision” for their lives and the world around them.
To encourage underserved and underresourced youth to dream big and create a vision for change.
Create Vision is guided by the following values:
Empowerment: We believe that vision is created by exposure to the world’s treasures. By exposing children to history, music, culture and the arts, they can tap into their unlimited potential. We aim to empower young people by showing them what the world has to offer and teaching them how to take advantage of the opportunities before them.
Integrity: We believe in doing all things in decency and in order. We model strong character, self-discipline, and compassion when engaging with the young people we serve and the broader community.
Transparency: We communicate in a simple, straightforward, and clear manner. We strive to be accountable to the people we serve and always act transparently.
Honesty: We are committed to speaking the truth in love with sincerity and humility.
Love: We believe our highest calling is to love one another. We extend kindness and compassion to everyone, regardless of their background or life experiences.
